Flip the City Fest is a community initiative powered by HOPE Inc. (Helping Others with Purpose and Education), dedicated to uplifting underserved families through purpose-driven events, education, and resource distribution.What We Just Did:In July 2025, we hosted our first-ever Flip the City: Back to School Festival in Durham, NC, and made a lasting impact:
• 400+ families and children served
• 4,500+ school supplies and hygiene items distributed
• 25+ local vendors and community partners involved
• Free food, haircuts, hairstyles, games, performances, and live music
• Featured on CBS News for our community service and outreachThanks to our generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers, this event was completely free for the community — every child received support heading into the new school year with confidence and dignity
What’s Coming Next:Due to the overwhelming support and success of our first year, Flip The City is coming back for Part Two.On August 8, 2026, we will host Flip The City Fest: Part Two at Pullen Park, in partnership with the YMCA. This next chapter will expand our reach, deepen our impact, and continue our mission of serving families through education, resources, and community connection.We are excited to build on what we’ve started and look forward to bringing another unforgettable day of giving, joy, and empowerment to the community.Stay tuned for more details as we continue planning — this is only the beginning.
